CRAVEN HISTORICAL DANCERS
The Craven Historical Dancers, a dance group organized by historical dancer Paige Whitley-Bauguess in 1989, specialize in social dances of the 18th Century. The group has performed at the Magnolia Baroque Festival in Winston-Salem, NC; the Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC; the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, NC; the 30th, 31st, 32nd and 40th annual festivals of Baroque music in Greenfield Center, New York; the Southeastern Historical Keyboard Societys 1994 Conference (Charleston, SC); the annual Christmas Candlelight tours at Tryon Palace (New Bern); the Hope Plantation (Windsor, NC); in Down East Dances Nutcracker (New Bern, NC); and at various festivals and historical sites in North Carolina. The Craven Historical Dancers also appeared in the PBS production Alamance, filmed in North Carolina. |
